Fareham Aquatics

Fareham Aquatics is based in Portchester in Hampshire and stocks a good selection of tropical, coldwater and pond fish, as well as all of the bits and pieces you need to keep your fish happy and healthy.

Owner, Peter Wroe told Practical Fishkeeping: "People that visit the shop often comment on the varied selection of fish and the cleanliness of the tanks. We are always happy to give advice when asked and to spend time with beginners to help them make the right choices for them.

"We always try to have a selection of oddballs in the shop, including axolotls, we also have a good selection of community fish and cichlids.

"During the spring and summer months we also stock a good selection of pond and garden plants."

Peter has over 35 years of fishkeeping experience under his belt and says that the shop is always happy to conduct water tests free of charge, as well as explaining what needs to be done if there's something wrong.

Says Peter: "We won’t try and sell you anything you don’t need, we want you to keep coming back to us."

"All our aquariums are individually filtered so there is no chance of any diseases being spread from tank to tank."

Fareham Aquatics is on the A27 at Portchester, between Fareham and Portsmouth.
