| Norton Aquatics opened on Good Friday 2006 after 9 months of planning and research. The original concept was for a high quality marine only business but it soon became clear that there was also a need for a good quality tropical freshwater store in our local area. Norton Aquatics now offers a great selection of interesting marine, tropical and indoor coldwater fish along with a wide selection of dry goods from all the major names in the aquatic industry. We have several display tanks on site to inspire you during your visit, including our centrepiece 568L marine display tank housing, amongst others, several species of tangs. Our marine section houses everything from the common clownfish and popular community fish such as damsels and chromis, to more unusual species such as our snowflake moray eel and groupers. We have a wide range of invertebrates in our separate invert system, and of course if there is anything we don’t have in stock we will be willing to do our best to source it for you. By hand-picking all of our marine stock from the Tropical Marine Centre and not importing our own fish we can be sure all of our fish and invertebrates are of the highest quality and health. Our tropical freshwater section is mainly dedicated to housing the more common community fish that the majority of our customers are looking for, for example, up to 13 different species of tetra, 7 species of gourami and several colour varieties of guppies. We pride ourselves on our dry goods range, stocking the complete Tetra range and also a wide selection of goods from other companies such as Aqua One, Juwel, TMC, RO Man, Aqua Vital and many others. With weekly deliveries and excellent contacts within the industry we are able to offer our customers the latest technologies as soon as they become available. Norton Aquatics has a friendly, personal approach to customers, helping people at all levels of experience with fish keeping. We have many repeat customers who have been with us from the very start of their aquarium set up; we have helped them to prepare their tanks for fish and then helped them stock their aquariums. We feel it is important to pass our knowledge onto our customers so that they can get the best from their tanks at home. As importantly the knowledge we gain from listening to our customers has proved invaluable in our attempt to create a friendly and helpful aquatics business. We also offer a free water testing service to our customers and offer them advice and suitable products depending on their results. The latest venture is www.nortonaquatics.com, the ultimate aim of our website is to offer our wide range of stock for delivery throughout the country, and although this is a work in progress we are aiming to be up and running by spring 2009. We currently offer a “Free” delivery service to any location in the BA postcode (see website for details) via our own sister company APC Bath. We aim to use our innovative webcam to allow customers to see their chosen fish (Marine) before it gets delivered or they choose to make a visit in person. |
