| Riverside aquatics and crafts is a family-run business, with many years experience within the aquatic hobby. The shop told Practical Fishkeeping: “We are established in a 17th century barn with ample free parking situated within the centre of the picturesque village of Eardisland. Eardisland has tea rooms and public houses for those requiring refreshments, and is on the well known river Arrow on the famous black and white trail within the county of Herefordshire. “Our mission is to ensure all customers to the aquatic hobby and throughout their hobby are given the best possible professional advice on the keeping and managing of both tropical and coldwater aquarium fish. We are not here, just to sell fish. “All of our live stock are quarantined until they are ready for sale. All stock are in separate filtered tanks, so no water is mixed from one tank to another which keeps stock in the best of health. All these tanks are maintained and checked on a weekly basis. We add JBL Acclimol which is we believe helps to keep our fish stress free. We have hard water here and all of our fish are acclimatised to the chlorine- and chloramine-free well-water we use in the shop.” Riverside Aquatics and Crafts says it mainly stocks community fish, Discus in hard water and a few oddballs, but has a changing stock so recommends that readers give them a call to see what they have in stock. “If there is something in particular that you are looking for, we will always be happy to order certain fish if they are available,” the staff told us. “We also stock a variety of hardy tropical plants together with a variety of dry foods frozen foods and treatments and in particular JBL products. The shop also has a display of plastic tank ornaments and plastic and silk plants, we also have a range of pumps, filters, cleaning equipment and filter media. We also have a small selection of aquarium tanks incuding biOrb, biUbe, and a display of Juwel tanks. We are able to take orders for most of the large manufactures and can provide a fitting service within a 20 mile radius on all large aquariums. “For those with partners with interest other than fish we also have a selection of gifts and crafts and collectables which you can view on our website.
