| Tyne Valley Aquatics told Practical Fishkeeping: "We carry an excellent stock of over 130 different types of tropical and coldwater fish and shrimps. In the pond season, we supply top quality Koi and other species, and we are only 10 minutes drive from the Metro Centre and five minutes walk from Prudhoe rail station. "Our experienced staff offer free, helpful unbiased advice. On our website you can view many of the species we have in stock, download an availability and price list and follow links to forums and manufacturers' sites. We also produce video downloads that may help you with setting up your aquarium, building or maintaining a pond, and we have a channel on YouTube with over 100 videos of fish, landscaping and pond construction. "All of our tanks are individually filtered and each one has its own net. This enables us to keep sensitive species that are affected by the fluctuations in ammonia and pH associated with centralised systems. As we supply fish, we also supply the equipment you need, including aquariums and all related products, including frozen food, as well as pond liners, pumps, filters and all associated pond equipment. "We also offer a landscaping service - see our website for some example videos of our previous work. We will re-home any fish that has outgrown its tank or pond and make a point of not stocking tankbusters. Each week we run a competition on our website aimed at our local customers, who can collect the prizes or vouchers in store. This began in February 2009 and has proven very popular. "We also have a growing mailing list of people who are kept informed of new livestock and special offers by email. People on the mailing list also receive the new availability list as an attachment via email. The emails often contain video links to the species mentioned." |
