| Heritage Aquatics is one of the fastest growing and most successful aquatic centres in the South of England. Having opened its doors as a Marine Centre in 2004, this young and vibrant company led by Jonathan and Fiona Daniels has gone from strength to strength over the past 4 years. After 2 major expansions of the successful Marine Centre, they opened the doors of their Tropical Freshwater and Reptile Centre in December 2007 – on the 3rd anniversary of their Marine Centre opening. Then during Spring 2008 their pond and outdoor coldwater section was launched making them one of the largest aquatic centres in the South. Despite the recent expansions, the Marine Centre remains their flagship. Holding a huge variety of marine life from all over the world, their stock selection is a sight to behold. Weekly deliveries of hundreds of corals pack out their invert aquariums – something you rarely see in most aquatic retailers. They have over 60 critter tanks that consistently hold a fantastic selection of crabs, snails, star fish, shrimp, anemones etc etc as well as the smaller marine fish and an abundance of captive bred Kuda sea horses. Within 6 months of opening their Freshwater Centre, Heritage have a huge client base all of which have joined their very popular discount card scheme. These exclusive cards entitle each holder to a 10% discount on all livestock purchased throughout their stores including fish, inverts, reptiles, live rock, aquatic plants, marginal and garden plants and other tropical plants. Jonathan, Fiona and all their staff have been overwhelmed by the popularity of their reptile section. They hold a great selection of (mainly captive bred) reptiles, snakes, tortoises and insects but will always order in livestock for you if they do not hold it. The range of ancillary items held at Heritage has increased ten fold since opening due to its popularity, especially the supply of live reptile food which is rarely out of stock. When Jonathan and Fiona made the decision to invest in the pond and outdoor coldwater section, they decided to open during Easter 2008! They did not bank on the good old British freak weather and postponed the opening til the snow was long gone! Since then, they have had and still stock fantastic Grade A koi up to 20” as well as many other popular and well loved cold water species. Their on-site 60’ reed-bed filtered pond is stunning with beautiful landscaping around the pond and stocked full of koi, goldfish, tench as well as grass carp and mirror carp up to 40” in length. They also offer a water garden service from ponds and filtration systems to natural swim pools and traditional swimming pools. So if you are looking for aquatic inspiration, Heritage is the place to go! Based in a semi-rural location in Wallington, Surrey, their centre is slightly off the beaten track but it is guaranteed that once you have found them, you will want to return again and again. There is an abundance of free parking and refreshments available on site. | Specialist stock | Recently we have been one of the only shops to stock zebra plecs! We had 8 beautiful babies that were sold pretty quickly! We have a snowball plec, a royal plec among other great trops! Our Grade A Koi are stunning, however our ‘Better than Grade A’are fabulous! In the Marines we are continuously receiving rare and unusual fish such as Mitratus Butterfly, Orange Toad Fish, Yellow Tail Purple Tangs, Addis Butterfly and much more. Flourescent Green Carpet anemones are unusual and popular and we often hold some very beautiful brightly coloured polyps. Please call us if you are looking for unusual stock! |
