The Aquatic Centre

"We have been established for over 25 years, and during this time we have built up a reputation for excellent service, quality and value.

"Marine fish and invertebrates have always been the centre of our business; we stock a wide variety at excellent prices. In the latter half of 2003 we installed a TMC centralised filtration system, which took a lot of planning, hard work and cash. The investment has, however, been more than worth it; the system has enabled us to provide fish that are always in first class condition. Our soft and hard corals are kept in their own system and we can guarantee that you will not beat us for value. We have always got live rock in stock and it is cured before we sell it.

"Our tropical freshwater room has all the usual suspects for sale, including neons, guppies, gouramies and barbs, but we also sell a wide variety of rare and unusual fish. There are 12 tanks of Malawi and Tanganyika cichlids always full with a varied mix to choose from.

"Although our coldwater section is small, it is always well stocked. However, because ponds seem to be a rare commodity in Scotland, we tend to concentrate on fancy rather than pond fish.

"A large part of our business is reptiles, amphibians and spiders. We have such a variety that it is worth paying us a visit just to see a creature you would normally only see on television or at the zoo.

"Finally, our range and stock of dry goods is amazing. We pride ourselves on having full shelves. We also have what most shops lack, a large selection of books for sale on the animals that we sell. To be good at a hobby you have to read about it. Come and see us, you will be amazed!"
