An 20cm/8in long fancy goldfish, found abandoned in a filthy tank under a bridge in Hampshire, is looking for a new home.
The fish was discovered in Farnborough, underneath a pedestrianised bridge beneath a railway, close to Trunk Road,
The fish, which has been christened Carson, was taken to Lynchford Aquatics on Peabody Road, where he is now being treated for a bacterial infection before a new home can hopefully be found for him. He’s thought to be around ten years old.
The shop’s owner, Debbie Hill, said that although the 24 x 16in tank Carson had been found in wasn’t full of water it must have been heavy for whoever dumped him to carry.
"I would have thought Carson is a fish who someone owned for a while, and that person sadly became fed up with owning fish," she said.
If you think you might be able to offer Carson a forever home, please call Lynchford Aquatics on 01252 542951.
