A fancy goldfish that was found ‘sleeping rough’ in a tank under a bridge in Hampshire has been re-homed.
Carson was discovered by a passer-by in December last year, underneath a pedestrianised bridge beneath a railway in Farnborough. The 20cm/8in long goldfish was in a filthy tank and was suffering from a bacterial infection. He was taken to Lynchford Aquatics in Peabody Road where staff nursed him back to health while keeping a lookout for a new ‘forever’ home for him.
The store said on its facebook page: “So today is the day, our resident rescue Carson the fancy goldfish is going to a well deserved new home! Carson has been with us for six months now, and since arriving has gone from strength to strength, attracting many followers young and old!” The store added that his Carson’s new owner will be sending pictures and videos to keep everyone updated on his progress.
