i agree, my old goldfish, (rip) remembered me, believe it of not. he was never interested in my mum, but after coming of holiday for 2 weeks, he saw me and was swimming franticly at the glass!
my corydoras know not to go near the bn plecos cave, or they get it, so i think the 3 second memory stuff is rubbish ![]() |

Think about it (someone should, as these so called scientists obviously only have a 3 second memory).
If fish had a 3 second memory, how would they know what to eat??? or where their cave was??? A lot of spp - Oscars are famous for it - can recognise you as soon as you walk into the room - regardless of what you're wearing (or not). How clever is that?! And if you feed them something they dont like, they dont taste it every single time because they've totally forgotten what it is. Scientists recently "discovered" that dogs can interpret your expressions. Dogs have expressions, so how could they not know what they mean?? If scientists would talk to someone with a brain every now and then they would all know as much as we do and wouldnt be starting out with a disadvantage. Budgies wont fly over water.........lol. That's pigs isnt it? Last edited by blackghost : 11th November 2009 at 04:49 AM. |
