Default Cloudy water through the day

Hi, first post so here goes.
Had my tank for about 2 months (rio 240 with external eheim pro 2) and completed the fishless cycle over six weeks. All test levels are reading normal. I have 3 platies and 2 opaline gouramies at present.

The problem is that through the day the water becomes hazy with the lights being on from 11am to 8 pm. First thing in the morning the water is crystal clear. I have no algae build up and fish are healthy.

Any ideas guys?

algae blooms can be controlled by the addition of a uv filter/sterliser.

what type of plants do you have? do you have only algae in the tank

water parameters? ammonia? nitrite?nitrate?ph?phosphate?Kh?

you could reduce the lighting to 7 hours aday

I have 10 mossballs,ph.7.2, ammonia 0, nitrate and nitrite 0, phosphate 0.25.
The tank is in quite a light room but has no direct sunlight. Do you think this will sort itself out or is a UV sterilizer the answer?

its hard to say without seeing, but a uv steriliser will kill algae bloom and the fish will be healther too because the water wont have free floating bacteria either.

you could add plenty of plants to use up the nutrients the algae are feeding on.
