weeping moss and climgbing moss are ones that spring to mind....
Aquatic ferns (java fern and bolbitis species) also climb to an extent. If you place them near then bottom then in 6 months time they will have reached the top ![]()

I use dead branches from the Beech, which are still attached to the tree. I just break them off, cut off the bark with a knife and float them in the tank untill they sink. It takes about a week or two. I've had these branches for about 4 years.

i recently discovered that this was possible so have been collecting nice branches like mad lol! i find its best to get thin branches off of the tree and let them dry in the oven for a few days on 50 degrees.
this way they havent been laying on the forest floor getting damp and soggy and becoming a good place for fungus to grow. so far i have only used cooking apple branches but im thinking about getting a big oak or beech branch and giving it a week in the oven.

i was also wondering if all the roots of these safe species are ok? i could go and get a sapling under 1 foot in the spring and oven the whole thing, i reckon that would look really good!
