Having read of late, that a number of website users feel that there is a dislocation between their respective expectations and the current website's operational capacities and delivery.

This alledged weakness, appparently has grown and is generally stated to be more pronounced, especially since Admin's focus has - rightly - changed; when he became Editor in Chief of the PFK magazine.

The PFK magazine is the core, the very heart that also helps to sustain the website; it is right and proper that the Priority of the Editor in Chief is the magazine, for it is the main cash flow vehicle, as it is a paid for commodity, where as the website is a free service to the user.

In his Admin role, a role that has been modified through the organisation's managerial processes, where he now through severe time constraints,[ it is by this necessity ] that he now keeps an essential overview, most ably assisted through and by the moderatoring system, of whom each freely give of their time and expertise to keep the website in all of its complexicity fit for purpose.

WE were privileged to have M.Clarke as the website editor and developer but this baton has been passed on!!! If we, as users, require this former high standard, the benchmark, to be maintained, I firmly believe we should contribute towards the websites up keep.

What form this contribution should take is the question?
Is it a direct subscription, to the expenses of running the website?
A small oncrease in the magazine price to pay for the website?
Using the website entry into competitions, through a fee system; the magazine entry users have to pay for the magazine and then they have to pay the cost of a stamp!

I am sure that the website users can come up with ideas of how because of the organisational changes now in force to ensure that they together can think though a system that helps to finance and maintain a fishkeeping website that facilitates their needs.

Regards Aqua Regia.

Hi PFK,
can I have a moan?
I am stuggling with the new forum layout.
I am finding the new sections and 'sub-sections' really slow my reading of the forum down.
I used to like the fact I could see on one page, at a glance all of the different parts of the forums and I could see if any had had recent posts. Now if I want to look at the coldwater section, I can't glance at it...I have to go onto another page. As I keep different fish, I'm now having to make an awful lot more clicks with my mouse going into subsections and coming back out.
I do like the way the trops and the coldwater sections are now seperate but for me I'd like everything on one 'front page' like it was please,so I can find things easily again.

I'd be interested to see what other folk think- it's probably me just being old and grumpy! ;-)

moan over.
Andi.
