Take a look at some of the great features we have on offer in the August issue of Practical Fishkeeping.

We bring you the definitive guide to freshwater stingrays. In the first of this two-parter, Heiko Bleher spotlights the popular South American potamotrygonid rays.

Dr Michael Hardman identifies some fascinating but undervalued suckermouth catfishes in his guide to Otocinclus, while Rupert Collins looks at the common plecs and reveals why they have become such a problem in fishkeeping and in nature.

Heiko Bleher's search for Iranocichla in Iran reveals a cichlid barely surviving heavily salted waters and intense heat, and Ad Konings introduces the kambuzi cichlids of Lake Malawi which spend their time among beds of vallis.

On the marine front Dave Wolfenden looks at the Psychedelic mandarinfish, with its colour pattern like LSD-inspired wallpaper from the 1960's, and sings the praises of the Red-headed fairy wrasse, Cirrhilabrus solorensis. Meanwhile, Jeremy Gay speaks to John Bagnall about his beautiful reef tank.

We bring you six great freshwater and marine aquascapes and list the kit you'll need to recreate them at home. We also have Tried and Tested reviews on the Dymax iQ3 aquarium, Hanna's phosphate checker and the H2Ocean NanoScope from D-D The Aquarium Solution.

In addition, the August issue of Practical Fishkeeping comes with a FREE 64-page fishkeeping directory listing over 1000 places to buy fish, aquarium and pond gear in the UK.

All this and loads more in the August issue of PFK.

"Unfortunately, our parent company isn't able to provide incentive gifts with overseas subscriptions due to high postage costs and other issues with sending products (which often include chemicals and electrical items) overseas. Sorry!"
